Vintage ‘The Crown’ High Class Walnuts Jar Paper Label (UNUSED)
For a full product description, see below.
This is a highly unusual example of an unused paper label from The Crown Sauce, Vinegar and Cordial Works and dating to the first half of the 20th century.
The label is rectangular in shape and made from thin off-white paper. It is printed in an ornate red and blue motif, with a crown surmounting the words ‘LEWIS & CO., THE CROWN SUACE, VINEGAR & PICKLE CO. 89, REDCLIFF STREET, BRISTOL, ENGLAND. HIGH CLASS WALNUTS FINEST QUALITY.’
It measures 10.9cm high by 6.1cm wide.
It is in good condition, having never been used, although as previously mentioned the paper is a little discoloured due to age.
