This is a charming piece of vintage kitchenalia produced by the Jobling Glassworks during the 1960s.

The rolling pin is of classic form, with a hollow cylindrical body that steps in at the ends to form handles. These are capped with red plastic bungs. One end of the glass, and each of the bungs is marked with the ‘JAJ’ mark and the words ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’.

These rolling pins were produced so that they could be filled with chilled water. This would keep the pastry cool when being rolled out.

It has a maximum length of approximately 35.5cm.

It is in good condition, with a couple of scuffs to the glass commensurate with use.
