T. G. Green ‘Blue Domino’ Design Vegetable Tureen (WITHOUT LID)

This is a highly attractive piece of iconic ‘Blue Domino’ ware by T. G. Green.
The bowl has an everted rim that extends outwards to form two handles. There is a small step on the interior to hold the lid. The interior is glazed in white. The exterior of the bowl has an inward step just below the centre. The exterior of the bowl, including the underside of the handles, is glazed in blue. There is a staggered pattern of three rows of white dots around the bowl. These dots are slightly recessed.
The base has an unglazed foot rim which is white in colour. The centre is glazed in blue and bears the maker’s mark that reads ‘T. G. GREEN & CO. LTD ENGLAND BLUE DOMINO’ and the domino logo. This mark was in use up until 1966.
It has a height of approximately 7.3cm and a diameter across the rim of approximately 21.5cm (excluding the handles). The recess for the lid has a diameter of about 19.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
