This is a classic example of a blue and white striped lid or cover for the 2-pint refrigerator jug from the ‘Cornishware’ range produced by T G Green.
The lid is approximately discoid with a thickened rim. It is made from white ceramic over which has been applied blue glaze in a thick ring and a central circle. The interior is glazed in white and impressed with the number ‘26’. The rim is unglazed.
It has a maximum diameter across the top of approximately 12.2cm and a diameter across the rim of about 10.9cm.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a couple of scuffs to the upper surface commensurate with use.
