This is a nice example of a studio pottery vase, maker unknown.
The vase is bottle shaped, with a rounded body and a narrow cylindrical neck that leads to the flattened rim. The whole is glazed in a dark green that is dripped with blue to create an abstract pattern.
The base is unglazed, revealing the underlying ceramic to be beige stoneware. It is impressed of the edge of the base with a monogram, although it is not easily decipherable.
It has a height of approximately 13.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.4cm and across the base of about 6.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
