This is a high-quality cut lead crystal brandy glass from the ‘Argyll’ suite by Stuart Crystal.
The balloon-shaped bowl is cut with seven vertical wedge cuts, that extend up from the base to within 1.5cm of the rim. Between each vertical wedge cut is a cross-cut; each of these is surmounted by a three-pointed fan.
The stem is of short tapering form and is cut with six facets. The foot is star cut and marked at the edge with the word ‘STUART’.
It has a height of approximately 13.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.6cm and across the foot of about 6.3cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
