Set of Four ‘Pall Mall’ Design Tall Sherry Glasses

This is a set of four attractive sherry glasses in the classic ‘Pall Mall’ design. Each glass has been machine etched with a design consisting of a continuous helical spiral just below the rim, a band of interconnecting arcs and a lattice of interlocking criss – crosses. The bucket shaped bowl sits on a plain stem and flat foot. The centre of the foot has been polished and there is no maker’s mark. It is difficult to be certain of the age of these particular glasses since this design was in production from the late 19th century up until the 1920s to 1930s. Each glass has a height of approximately 11.3cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.5cm and across the foot of about 5.0cm. They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
