This is a nice example of a stylish art glass bowl, probably Scandinavian in origin and dating to the mid 20th century.
The bowl is made from flint glass encasing a green glass layer in the centre. The bowl is formed from a large disc of glass that is turned inwards in two places and curled over between these two parts. This gives it a ‘tricorn’ shape. The base is polished flat.
It has a height of approximately 7.8cm and maximum width of 21.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the sides and base.
