This is a highly collectible character jug designed by Harry Fenton in 1949 for Royal Doulton.
The piece is moulded in the form of Falstaff, who is depicted wearing a yellow tunic, a black hat with yellow plumes, and sporting a brown beard.
This particular jug is one of a special edition of 1,500 (No. 89), produced exclusively for U.K. Fairs Ltd.
It has a height of approximately 16.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
