This is a highly attractive candleholder designed by Frank Thrower for Dartington Glass in 1969.
The lower part of the candleholder is hexagonal in section. Each of the six faces has the same moulded stylised geometric pattern, consisting of a rectangle and a central circular ‘button’ moulded in relief. The short, circular, plain neck broadens out to a flat galleried rim.
It has a height of approximately 8.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 9.0cm and a maximum width across the base of about 10.0cm. It has an unwrapped weight of 320g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
