Reijmyre Emerald Green Art Glass Vase

This is a classic 1960s – 1970s Scandinavian glassware design by Reijmyre Glass. Reijmyre Glassworks of Reijmyra, Östergötland, has been in production since 1810 and during its lifetime has employed many famous Scandinavian designers. This vase is in emerald green coloured glass with a thickened flint glass base. The vase is approximately cylindrical in shape; it is waisted in the centre with a bladed discoid portion. The base has a concentric ring pattern, which is common to Reijmyre pieces. It has a height of approximately 19.8cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 9.5cm and across the base of about 9.2cm. It is in good condition for its age, with no chips or cracks, although there is a faint water mark in the base of the vase. This is only visible on the closest of scrutiny but this wear is reflected in the price.
