Radford Ceramic Flower Vase with Hand Painted Autumnal Floral Design No. 1081
This is a stunning example of a mid-20th century flower vase by E. Radford.
This is a stunning example of a mid-20th century flower vase by E. Radford.
The vase is has a cylindrical rim, widening out and then tapering back in towards the base. It is hand painted on one side with a large stylised floral motif in autumn colours. The reverse has a single stylised flower bud with foliage.
The base is impressed with the number ‘1081’ and stamped with the words ‘E RADFORD ENGLAND HANDPAINTED’. Below this there are some decorator initials.
It has a height of approximately 15.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.5cm and across the base of about 5.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few small marks on the interior consistent with use.
