This is a high-quality lead crystal wine or water goblet from the ‘Olivia’ suite designed by Frank Thrower for Wedgwood Crystal.
The conical bowl is plain and merges with the long, straight stem. There is a small collar at the junction of the stem and the slightly domed foot. The latter is plain and unmarked.
This piece is made in the ‘Clear’ colourway.
It has a height of approximately 24.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.5cm and across the foot of about 9.1cm.
The glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 300ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 210g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are two pieces of frit within the bowl (see pictures). It is possible that this piece is of ‘seconds’ quality and is priced accordingly.
