This is a high-quality cut lead crystal claret wine glass from the ‘Tramore’ suite by Waterford Crystal.
The trumpet-shaped bowl has a circumferential wedge cut approximately halfway down; this is surmounted by a series of thin vertical wedge cuts. Below this is a pattern of relief diamonds formed from three rows of interlocking crosses. The stem tapers in from its junction with the bowl and then flares out to form a central bladed knop. The foot is star cut and marked on the edge with the word ‘WATERFORD’.
It has a height of approximately 13.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 9.3cm and across the foot of about 7.0cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 170ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 280g.
