This is a high-quality cut lead crystal red wine glass from the ‘Lismore Diamond’ suite produced by Waterford Crystal.
The capacious, rounded bowl is cut with a band of alternating long and short vertical mitres. These have been overcut with three circumferential mitres, which gives two rows of raised diamonds around the centre.
The stem and foot are plain. The latter is marked on the edge with the word ‘WATERFORD’. In addition, it bears the original green and gold label, which depicts the seahorse logo and reads ‘WATERFORD CRYSTAL’. On the underside of the foot is the original white paper label, which reads ‘LISMORE DIAMOND RED WINE LEAD CRYSTAL’ above the retailer’s codes and the barcode.
It has a height of approximately 20.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.5cm and across the foot of about 8.1cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 325ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 310g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
