This is a charming and unusual example of a decorative glass ring tree.
The top part of the ring tree has five ‘fingers’ on which to place rings. Below this, it merges with a thick, tapering stem which is incised with wavy lines. The stem merges with the elongated oval-shaped base, which is plain and unmarked.
Next to the ring tree is a small glass bird, which has a mottled pink and white core, with details being crimped from the flint (clear) glass.
It has a maximum height of approximately 8.7cm and a length across the base of about 8.6cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 220g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is a rough patch below the wing of the bird, which I believe may be a tool mark.
