This is a set of six high-quality cut lead crystal liqueur or cordial glasses from the ‘Prince Regent’ suite by Webb Corbett Crystal.
The rounded bowl is cut with a design consisting of four large crosses, the upper and lower arms of which come into close approximation. In the diamond-shaped panel thus formed is a further cross cut, overcut by a vertical cross. The upper arms of the large crosses are filled with a seven-pointed fan. The lower limbs of the large crosses continue downwards as arcs, forming a swag which connects the pattern at the base of the bowl. The space between the lower limbs is filled with a pattern of relief diamonds.
The stem is plain with a central discoid knop. The foot is star cut and unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 8.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 3.8cm and across the foot of about 4.5cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 30ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 320g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
