This is a set of four high-quality, cut lead crystal liqueur or cordial glasses produced by Richardson Glass and dating to the second quarter of the 20th century.
The short, bucket-shaped bowl is cut with three cross-cuts. Between adjacent crosses are three horizontal wedge cuts stacked on one another. The bowl merges with the short, baluster-shaped stem and plain, flat foot. The latter is marked on the underside with a Union Flag and the words ‘RICHARDSON BRITISH’.
Please note: one of the four glasses has not been drawn out at the bowl as much as the others, and therefore, the bowl shape is slightly different (see pictures). It is still marked and therefore must have been deemed acceptable from a quality control standpoint!
Each glass has a height of approximately 7.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.0cm and across the foot of about 4.2cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 25ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 220g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although as previously mentioned, one glass is a little different in conformation than the others. Although this is merely a manufacturing flaw, I have reflected this in the price.
