This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal wine glasses from the ‘Windsor’ suite by Stuart Crystal.
The bowl is round and merges imperceptibly with the plain, elongated stem. Below the rim the bowl is cut with a band of crosses, the lower limbs of which have been elongated and form a vertical pointed oval shape. These meet a lattice consisting of five rows of interlocking crosses that diminish in size as they approach the stem. The foot is plain and marked at the edge with the word ‘STUART’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 19.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.1cm and across the foot of about 6.5cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 185ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 530g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd wear and tear scratch to the bowl commensurate with use.
