Pair of Royal Doulton Crystal ‘Abacus’ Design Flute Champagne Glasses (10 ¾”)

This is a pair of high-quality cut and moulded lead crystal flute champagne glasses from the ‘Abacus’ suite produced by Royal Doulton Crystal.

The elongated trumpet-shaped bowl merges imperceptibly with the solid stem. The bowl and the upper portion of the stem are cut with six equidistant vertical wedge cuts, each being overcut with a large square and a small square. This motif alternates to give a staggered effect.

The discoid foot is plain and marked at the edge with the Royal Doulton crowned lion’s head motif.

Each glass has a height of approximately 27.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.7cm and across the foot of about 8.3cm.

Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 185ml.

They have an unwrapped weight of 780g.

They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
