Pair of Poole Pottery ‘Twintone’ Range Coffee Cups in Peach Bloom and Seagull C97

This is a highly attractive pair of coffee cups from the Poole Pottery ‘Twintone’ range.

The cups are of classic form, tapering in from the rim to the base. The handle is positioned just below the rim and the lower attachment is just above the base. The cup is decorated with ‘Peach Bloom’ on the interior and ‘Seagull’ on the exterior. The base is marked with the dolphin logo and the words ‘POOLE ENGLAND’.

This colour combination, C97 ‘Peach Bloom and Seagull’ was introduced in 1953 and was in production until 1968.

Each cup has a height of approximately 5.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.1cm and across the base of about 3.3cm.

Each cup has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 105ml.

They have an unwrapped weight of 130g.

They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
