Pair of Edinburgh Crystal ‘Glenshee’ Design Large Whisky or Water Tumblers

This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal whisky or water glasses from the ‘Glenshee’ suite produced by Edinburgh Crystal.

The bowl is of tapering cylindrical form with a thickened base. The bowl is cut with ten pairs of crosses, one surmounting the other. The uppermost cross contains a three-pointed fan cut. Between adjacent pairs of crosses is a vertical wedge cut.

The base is star cut in the centre and marked with the words ‘MADE IN EDINBURGH SCOTLAND’.

Each glass has a height of approximately 9.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.4cm and across the base of about 6.3cm.

Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 300ml.

They have an unwrapped weight of approximately 530g.

They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few raised blemishes at the rims where the glasses were finished. There are also a few wear and tear scratches to the bowl commensurate with use.
