This is a matching cream jug and sugar bowl made by Blue Mountain Pottery of Ontario, Canada.
The cream jug is of squat rounded form with a pulled spout. The handle is rounded and sits centrally on the body. The jug sits on a discoid base and is moulded with ‘BMP CANADA’ in relief. The ‘BMP CANADA’ mark with the curling ‘M’ is known to have been used from the mid-1960s.
The matching sugar bowl is similarly proportioned, with a squat rounded body that sits on a discoid base. It is marked in the same way as the cream jug.
They are both glazed in the same mottled and streaked green glaze.
The cream jug has a height of approximately 7.0cm and a diameter across the rim of about 5.5cm. The sugar bowl also has a height of approximately 7.0cm and a diameter across the rim of about 5.5cm.
They have an unwrapped weight of 460g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
