Pilgrim Glass Company ‘Necklace Collection’ Cranberry Glass Vase

This is a high attractive glass vase in classic Victorian style from the ‘Necklace Collection’ by the Pilgrim Glass Company of West Virginia, USA.

The vase has a scalloped rim, with eight lobes that tapers in to form a short neck. Below this is a separately applied flint glass scrolled trail that is fused to the glass. The body then widens out to create a low bulbous portion and then tapers back in slightly towards the thickened base. The latter is encased in a layer of flint (clear) glass and has a central polished pontil.

Pieces with the flint glass trail are part of the ‘Necklace Collection’.

It has a height of approximately 14.8cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.2cm and across the base of about 4.9cm.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
