Pair of Webb Corbett ‘Georgian’ Design Sherry Glasses

This is a pair of high quality cut lead crystal sherry glasses from the ‘Georgian’ suite by Royal Doulton. The bowl is decorated with seven repeating fan cuts, each situated above a large criss-cross cut, with a small criss-cross cut within the diamond shape formed by two adjacent large criss-crosses. At the base of the bowl is a ring of seven horizontal ‘thumb’ cuts. At the base of the bowl there is a small collar above a cylindrical stem with a central ball knop. The foot is plain and is marked underneath with the words ‘WEBB CORBETT ENGLAND’. Each glass has a height of approximately 10.6cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.4cm and across the foot of about 4.5cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses. They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
