Pair of Stuart Crystal ‘Ellesmere’ Design Lead Crystal Port Glasses
For a full product description, see below.
This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal port wine glasses from the ‘Ellesmere’ suite by Stuart Crystal.
The bowl is cut with a complex design consisting of six curved fern fronds placed equidistantly around the body. Between adjacent fronds, there is a pair of deep leaf-shaped wedge cuts, edged with linear cuts. In addition, there is a further small leaf-shaped cut between the upper margins of the larger cuts. The bowl merges imperceptibly with the twisted, ribbed stem. The foot is cut with a ring of ten leaf-shaped wedge cuts and marked in the centre with the words ‘STUART ENGLAND’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 12.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.1cm and across the foot of about 5.6cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 100ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 260g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd wear and tear scratch to the bowls and feet commensurate with use.
