This is a pair of good quality cut lead crystal champagne flutes by Salzburger Cristallglas and originating from Austria.
This is a pair of good quality cut lead crystal champagne flutes by Salzburger Cristallglas and originating from Austria.
The elongated bowl is waisted with a thickened base. The edge of the base is cut with nine concave teardrop cuts. The stem is drawn from the bowl and tapers in as it approaches the foot. The latter is plain and slightly domed.
One glass of the pair bears the remains of the original silver sticker, which reads ‘SALZBURGER CRISTALLGLAS S C HANDMADE IN AUSTRIA’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 19.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.6cm and across the foot of about 6.4cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
