This is a pair of good quality small tumblers, probably British in origin and dating to around 1880.
Each glass is approximately cylindrical, tapering in towards the thickened base. They are etched in their upper halves with a central ‘Greek Key’ motif bordered above and below by a pair of overlapping zig-zag lines forming a ‘saw-tooth’ design. The base is plain and unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 9.6cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.5cm and across the base of about 4.0cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
