Pair of Large Green Glass Goblets with Painted Floral Design

This is a pair of mid 20th century wine goblets with a hand painted design. The glass has an ogee shaped bowl and is moulded with a vertical ribbed pattern. It is painted just below the rim with stylised flowers and foliage. At the base of the bowl there is a discoid collar, and the short stem has a central globular knop. This then merges into the plain, flat foot. It is unmarked. Each glass has a height of approximately 12.4cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 8.8cm and a diameter at the foot of about 8.0cm on one glass and about 7.5cm on the other. This minor discrepancy is due to the handmade nature of the glasses. They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although the painted flowers are quite worn in places and there is a tool mark on the underside of one of the feet.
