This is a pair of highly attractive posy vases by Radford and dating to the mid-20th century.
Each vase has a rounded body that tapers in to form a short cylindrical neck and rim. It is stippled with a pale pink glaze; this is then decorated by hand with a stylised red anemone on one side and purple one on the reverse.
Each vase is impressed on the base with the number ‘1014’ and marked in the centre with the words ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’. In addition, there is a hand painted decorator’s monogram.
Each vase has a height of approximately 7.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 2.3cm and across the base of about 3.5cm.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is some minor crazing to the glaze.
