Pair of Dartington Glass ‘Compleat Imbiber’ Design Claret Glasses FT151

This is a pair of high-quality lead crystal claret glasses from the ‘Compleat Imbiber’ suite by Dartington Glass.

The capacious bowl tapers in and merges imperceptibly with the solid stem. This flares out to form the rounded foot; the latter is plain and slightly domed in the centre. They are unmarked.

Each glass has a height of approximately 12.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.6cm and across the foot of about 7.4cm. According to the catalogue, the claret glass has a liquid capacity of 33cl. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions, due to the handmade nature of the glasses.

They have an unwrapped weight of 420g.

They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the bowls and feet, commensurate with use.
