Pair of Dartington Glass Brandy Balloons FT369/P in Original Box
For a full product description, see below.
This is a pair of high-quality plain lead crystal brandy glasses designed by Frank Thrower for Dartington Glass.
Each glass has a narrow rim, widening out to form a balloon-shaped bowl. This has a thickened base and merges imperceptibly with the short tapering stem. The foot is plain and unmarked.
Each foot bears the original black label, which reads ‘DARTINGTON ENGLAND 24% LEAD CRYSTAL’. The black label is indicative of ‘seconds’ quality.
In addition, the glasses come in their original 1980s Dartington box.
Each glass has a height of approximately 13.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.9cm and across the foot of about 8.2cm. There are minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
