Orrefors Tapering Bud Vase Signed NU 3642

This is a high quality lead crystal bud vase by Orrefors. The vase is square in section at its thickened base, tapering inwards to become rounded as it approached the rim. The base has a central polished out pontil and is marked with the word ‘ORREFORS’ and the code ‘NU 3642’. In another corner there is a hand engraved number ‘9535’, which is a collector’s reference number. The number ‘3642’ dates the piece to between 1957 and 1958. It has a height of approximately 20.2cm and as a width at the base of about 4.7cm. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
