This is a highly attractive example of a glass flower vase by Nazeing.
This is a highly attractive example of a glass flower vase by Nazeing.
The vase is approximately cylindrical, tapering in towards the thickened base. The interior is coated with a thin layer of translucent streaked white with enclosed bubbles. This is encased in a layer of pale blue glass; the two combined give the piece an almost lilac hue. The thickened base is domed in the centre with a broken pontil.
It has a height of approximately 14.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 11.7cm and across the base of about 8.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some enclosed pieces of frit and some wear and tear scratches to the underside of the base, commensurate with age.
