Murano Glass Fish Ornament in Orange with Original Sticker
This is a good quality art glass fish ornament of Italian origin and dating to around the 1960s.
This is a good quality art glass fish ornament of Italian origin and dating to around the 1960s.
The body is made from orange and flint glass, which is drawn out to form the tail and the mouth. The eyes have been crimped and the fins have been separately applied in flint glass. The beak is drawn out from the body.
The piece sits on a thick discoid base that is impressed on the underside with five holes. The body bears the remains of the original red and silver label that reads ‘MURANO MADE IN ITALY’.
It has a maximum height of approximately 16.1cm and a maximum width of about 10.1cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
