This is a highly attractive decorative glass bowl, probably dating to the 1960s.
The lower part of the bowl is formed in amber glass, with a whorl of ridges curving out from a central polished pontil. As these ridges approach the rim, the amber glass merges with a band of green. The rim has been folded over at three points to give a tri-lobed effect.
The bowl has a height of approximately 8.2cm and a width across the rim of about 24.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although the pontil is slightly roughened at the base and has some frit inclusions, making it visible from above the bowl. There is also a burst bubble beside the roughened pontil. These are manufacturing artefacts and do not detract from the piece in any way.
