This is a nice example of a Venetian art glass bowl or ashtray, probably dating to between the 1960s and the 1970s.
The bowl has been made in emerald green glass, which has been encased in flint glass with a controlled bubble pattern between the two layers. This piece was probably originally made in circular form, three ‘sides’ having been folded up to form curved edges. The base has a central polished out pontil.
It has a maximum width of approximately 13.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
