This is a pretty example of a 1940s to 1950s toast rack, probably British in origin.
The base is approximately rectangular in shape curved corners. The edge of the base is decorated with a crude transfer printed floral motif. There are five rings attached to the base, the centremost one having a small knop with which to carry the rack. These rings are brushed with a pale yellow glaze on the exterior. The remainder of the piece is glazed in off-white. The base is plain and unmarked.
It has a maximum length of 14.0cm and a maximum width of about 7.5cm. It has a maximum height to the top of the knop of 6.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
