This is a classic piece of Kitchenalia, probably dating to the latter part of the 19th century.
The funnel is made in white earthenware with a clear glaze.
The upper part is cylindrical with an off-centre hole to allow the escape of steam. About one-third of the way down the funnel ‘steps’ out to a wider base, which has three arches along its lower margin.
The funnel has a height of approximately 6.8cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
