This is a nice example of a custard cup, probably British in origin and dating to around 1870.
The rounded bowl is plain and is attached to the plain, flat foot by means of a short waisted stem. The separately applied handle sits just above the rim and is plain.
It has a height of approximately 7.7cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 6.2cm and across the foot of about 5.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few enclosed bubbles and striations in the foot.
