This is a nice example of a large utilitarian wine glass or rummer made dating to around 1870.
The elongated cylindrical bowl has a thickened base and merges imperceptibly with the solid tapering stem. The foot is flat and bears the remains of a Y shaped tool mark.
It has a height of approximately 14.9cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 6.4cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there may be the odd wear and tear scratch to the bowl and underside of the foot.
