Product Description

This is a nice quality lead crystal pickle jar, probably dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.

The body tapers in slightly from a broad base, which is star cut. There is a rounded shoulder and a short neck, which has been ground on the inside to allow tight fitting of the stopper. The body has been cut with a design consisting of interlocking crosses, the space between which has been further cut with crosses to give a pattern of diamonds in relief. The hollow stopper has a domed top and a ground glass neck.

The base is plain and unmarked.

It has a height (including the stopper) of approximately 15.7cm, and a diameter across the base of about 10.0cm.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
