This is a nice example of a late 19th century glazed ceramic jelly mould.
The mould is approximately rectangular in shape, with a vertical fluted pattern on the inside edge giving a ‘pillared’ effect to the finished jelly. The exterior of these has a stylised foliage design at the base. The base has a rectangular panel with a stylised rose. The base has an unglazed raised foot rim and the number ‘14’ incised on the base of the mould.
It has a height of approximately 11.6cm, with a maximum length of about 17.0cm and a maximum width of about 11.5cm.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is some staining to the glaze on the interior and exterior.
