Late Georgian Plain Trumpet Bowled Jelly Glass c.1810
For a full product description, see below.
This is a good example of an early 19th century jelly glass.
The deep trumpet-shaped bowl is plain, and is attached directly to the slightly domed foot. The centre of the foot has a rough pontil.
It has a height of approximately 9.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.6cm and across foot of about 5.8cm.
It is in fair condition, with no chips or cracks, although the bowl is slightly cloudy on the inside with a number of fine scratches to the surface. These have probably been caused by rather vigorous cleaning with a slightly abrasive material. This wear is visible on close inspection and is reflected in the price.
