Late 19th Century Franz Welz Pink and Green Aventurine Glass ‘Spatter’ Vase
This is a classic example of a 'Spatter' or 'Splatter' glass vase produced at the end of the 19th century and attributable to Franz Welz.
The vase is made in three layers; an inner white glass layer which is ‘spattered’ with vibrant pink and green aventurine and then encased in an outer flint (clear) layer. The base is plain, flat and unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 20.8cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.2cm and across the base of about 8.7cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
