This is an attractive and unusual cordial glass, probably British in origin and dating to around 1870.
The bucket shaped bowl is cut above the base with ten arch shaped panels. The stem has been made in a two part mould; it is attached to the stem by means of a discoid collar. Below this are two further discoid collars and an approximately conical portion that is faceted. The stem the tapers into a further discoid knop and there is a discoid collar at the junction with the plain flat foot. The latter has the remains of a central Y shaped tool mark.
The bowl and foot have been made by hand and the stem has been moulded.
It has a height of approximately 9.1cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 3.8cm and across the foot of about 4.1cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the bowl and foot, commensurate with the age of the piece.
