Late 18th Century Plain Funnel Bowled Lead Crystal Wine Glass c.1770
For a full product description, see below.
This is a simple yet elegant example of a wine glass, probably British in origin and dating to around 1770.
The funnel shaped bowl tapers in and merges imperceptibly with the solid stem. The foot is plain and slightly domed; it has a central rough pontil mark.
It has a height of approximately 11.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.3cm and across the foot of about 6.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there may be the odd wear and tear scratch to the bowl and foot commensurate with the age of the piece.
