Late 18th Century Large Grapevine Engraved Lead Crystal Wine Glass c.1790
For a full product description, see below.
This is a highly attractive example of a large wine glass, probably British in origin and dating to about 1790.
The capacious bowl is crudely engraved on the exterior with a stylised grapevine motif. The bowl tapers down and merges with the stem. The latter has a central bladed knop. The foot is plain with a central rough pontil.
It has a height of approximately 11.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.4cm and across the foot of about the same.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
