Large Mid-20th Century Mohair Giraffe Toy
For a full product description, see below.
This is a nice example of a toy giraffe, maker unknown but probably dating to the mid-20th century.
The giraffe is made from beige mohair with rust-coloured spots on the body, neck, and face. The tail and mane are formed from brown fabric with a long pile or nap. The eyes are made from glass, and the nostrils have been handstitched in red.
The giraffe bears a pink ribbon around its neck, which may be original.
It is unjointed.
It has a maximum height of 32.8cm.
It is in fair condition for its age, although there are a couple of small patches of mohair missing, and well as some marks commensurate with age. This wear is reflected in the price.
