Kosta Boda ‘Rosebud’ Design Lead Crystal Candleholder or Votive
This is a nice example of a candleholder in the ‘Rosebud’ design by Kosta Boda.
This is a nice example of a candleholder in the ‘Rosebud’ design by Kosta Boda.
The votive is formed with five lobes; each lobe is moulded to look like a petal and a sepal (calyx). The upper parts of the petals are everted. The whole piece has a textured finish, with striations through the leaves to make them appear more realistic. The base is moulded with an impressed discoid portion and is unmarked.
It has a maximum height of approximately 7.3cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is a vertical line or striation that runs through a couple of the lobes. This is a manufacturing artefact and is only visible on close inspection.
